FORMS & RESOURCES
FAITH FORMATION CLASSES can host the Traveling Vocation Cross on Zoom for one week from Sunday to Saturday. The class receives the TVC at the 9AM Sunday Mass on their assigned Sunday and prays together nightly on Zoom (for the priesthood, consecrated life, married life, single life and their own family-intentions.) The TVC is passed on to the next class or family on the following 9AM Sunday Mass.

The following attire is appropriate for both the Candidates and Sponsors:
GIRLS/LADIES
- Sunday dress: dress slacks and blouse, skirt and blouse, knee-length dress, suit
- Covered shoulders: a sweater, shawl/scarf must be worn over sleeveless dress
- NO spaghetti straps, tight-fitting dress, low-cut dress or mini skirts
- Dress shoes
- NO athletic shoes
BOYS/MEN
- White long sleeve shirt with dark pants (black, navy blue)
- Suits and tie are optional
- NO denim pants
- NO athletic shoes
REMINDER:
Students in First Grade and AA1 will receive
1st Holy Communion
when they are in 2nd Grade/AA2.

Celebrating Creation, Community
and the Spirit of
Saint Francis of Assisi
SAC celebrated a beautiful and memorable Franciscan Jubilee Weekend, last October 3rd and 4th, bringing together faith, creation, community, and the enduring spirit of St. Francis of Assisi.
Saturday, October 3rd
The weekend began on Saturday, October 3, with SAC’s first-ever Mass for the Care of Creation during the 9:00 a.m. Mass. Faith Formation catechists, students, and families joined the parish community for this special celebration, with students in Grades 1–6 taking an active role in the liturgy.
The Faith Formation Program presented a beautiful textile mosaic of St. Francis with outstretched arms, embracing the prayers of our students and catechists and depicting the sun, earth, plants, and fish. Fr. Ray shared that while this was the first time SAC has celebrated a special Mass for Creation, he hopes it will become an annual tradition at St. Augustine.
The celebration carries special significance following Pope Francis’ establishment of the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation in 2015, inspired by his landmark environmental encyclical Laudato Si’, On Care for Our Common Home.
SAC's Opening of the CCD & Faith Formation Programs
St. Augustine’s 2026–2027 Faith Formation Program opened with a special Mass on Saturday, September 12. CCD catechists then met and welcomed families on Thursday, September 17, and Saturday, September 19, while Confirmation meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, and Thursday, September 24.
During the gatherings, families wrote their goals or commitments on paper “feathers,” which were added to a wall display to form wings inspired by the theme: “With Jesus, Our Faith Takes Flight!”
On Catechetical Sunday, September 20, sixty-eight catechists were commissioned during the 9:00 a.m. Mass.
Together, Sr. Ruth Linaac RVM, Fr. Ray Reyes, the catechists, and the Adult Ongoing Faith Formation (Alpha) Team look forward to another fruitful and memorable catechetical year.
