A Recap of the Emerald Jubilee Gala

Celebrating the 55^th Founding Anniversary of St. Augustine Church

The Gala took place at the South San Francisco Conference Center on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The event began with a warm welcome and introductory remarks from our Master of Ceremonies, Deacon Nestor Fernandez, and Mary Ann Narvaez, setting a positive tone for the evening. 

The strong line up for the program included: Christine Adiaz and the St. Augustine Children’s Choir who immediately charmed the audience; special recognition was given to The Pastors of St. Augustine and Clergy who were present; The Santacruzan Sagalas were acknowledged for their significant contribution toward parish projects; a distinct group of dancers (who represented different generations of parishioners and ministry members) performed an elegant waltz number; followed by The Praise and Glorify Choir who performed a song and dance number to a medley of memorable Filipino songs, that caused the audience to erupt in applause at the end of their act. The dance floor was then opened by the mambo dancers who performed a graceful number to Mambo Italiano. 

However, attendees began dancing from the onset. Once the Levites began playing their set during dinner, the dance floor was unofficially opened. Members of the Levites band are Fr. Peter Eugenio, Fr. Roland De La Rosa, Fr. Boie Espeleta, Fr. Mark Reburiano, Fr. Arnold Zamora, and our very own Pastor, Fr. Ray Reyes.



Gratitude for the day's achievements and success go to the organizers headed by Malou Cu, the participants, and our sponsors. Overall, the event was a resounding success, achieving the objective of joyfully celebrating the 55^th founding anniversary of our parish and leaving a lasting memory with all who attended.

May St. Augustine Church continue to foster a vibrant and collaborative community as we live God’s Word and continue His Works.
