“Children’s Choir Brings the House Down
in Three‑Part Musical Showcase"

The St. Augustine Children’s Choir turned last Saturday, June 6th, into a full‑blown musical adventure, taking the audience from a joyful convent, to the streets of revolutionary France, to a glitter‑filled Greek island — all in one unforgettable evening.

Part I: Sister Act — From Sacred to Soulful

The concert kicked off with a warm, glowing performance of songs like Hail Holy Queen and I Will Follow Him, sung in beautiful harmony that filled the church with reverence. But the calm didn’t last long — because the kids quickly flipped the switch and launched into Motown‑style favorites, complete with rhythm, attitude, and the kind of energy that makes you want to dance in your pew. It was the perfect opening: sweet, spirited, and full of personality.

Part II: Les Misérables — A Dramatic Turn

Next, the choir transported everyone straight into the heart of the French Revolution. Their Les Misérables set was rich with emotion, expressive storytelling, and a surprising level of maturity from such young performers. The shift from Motown to musical theater drama showed just how versatile this group has become.

Part III: Mamma Mia — Finale

The final act burst onto the stage with sunshine and sparkle. Christine opened with a heartfelt, powerful The Winner Takes It All, setting the tone for a finale that felt like a full‑cast celebration. Then came the moment no one saw coming: Parents in matching outfits joining their kids for a high‑energy Mamma Mia Medley. The stage was packed, the audience was cheering, and the whole room felt like one big family reunion set to ABBA. It was joyful, heartwarming and absolutely unforgettable.

A Night That Celebrated Music, Family, and Fun

From start to finish, the concert was a reminder of what makes this choir special: community, creativity, and the courage to try something new. It wasn’t just a performance — it was a shared experience that left everyone smiling long after the final note.

Congratulations to our St Augustine Children's Choir for another spectacular show!
