PROGRAM INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION GUIDELINES
NEW AND/OR TRANSFER STUDENTS MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO REGISTER IN PERSON.
- Call (650) 797-5955 or email Sr. Ruth Linaac, Director of Religious Education at staugustinecdre@gmail.com to set an appointment.
- COPY OF BAPTISMAL CERTIFICATE is required for NEW STUDENTS at time of registration.
- PROOF OF SACRAMENTS received and/or CERTIFICATE of COMPLETION must be presented for TRANSFER STUDENTS at time of registration.
2-YEAR SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION FOR 1st RECONCILIATION AND 1st HOLY COMMUNION
Grade 1 is for 1st graders in non-Catholic school. 1st Communion is received in 2nd Grade.
Grade 2 is for 2nd graders in non-Catholic school. In person , Saturday 11:30 am only.
AGE-APPROPRIATE (AA) CLASSES for students late in attending.
SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION FOR 1st RECONCILIATION AND 1st HOLY COMMUNION
Age Appropriate Level 1 (AA1)
- AA1 is for students in Grades 2 through 5 who have not yet received Holy Communion.
- Upon completion of AA1, students are promoted to AA2
Age Appropriate Level 2 (AA2)
- In person, Saturday at 11:30 am.
- After receiving 1st Holy Communion the student is promoted to their regular grade in non-Catholic school the following school year.
Age Appropriate Grade 6-fhc (AA6-fhc) First Communion and Confirmation Prep
- Thursday 4:30 pm or Saturday 9:00 am
- This class is a special program for students aged 12-17 years old at time of registration.
- For students who stopped attending faith formation classes after receiving 1st Holy Communion.
- For first-time students who have not received the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion, who wish to enroll in Confirmation.
- Upon completion of AA6, the student then undergoes an admissions conversation before entering the Confirmation Program.
Age Appropriate Grade 6 (AA6) Confirmation Preparation only
- Thursday 4:30 pm
- This class is a special program for students aged 12-17 years old at time of registration.
- For students who stopped attending faith formation classes after receiving 1st Holy Communion.
- Upon completion of AA6, the student then undergoes an admissions conversation before entering the Confirmation Program.
CONFIRMATION (in person) A two-year program for students who have received the Sacraments of Reconciliation, 1st Holy Communion, and successfully passed the admissions conversation.
- 1st Year Confirmation (7th Gr) meets on 2nd and 4th Thursdays, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
- 2nd Year Confirmation (8th Gr) meets on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
CCD for SPED (for students with IEPs)
IEP Clause: Parents must provide a copy of the student's IEP for review, prior to acceptance to the program.

Sped fhc (First Holy Communion)
- Preparation for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion. Hybrid, Saturday, 10:30 am
Sped Int (Intermediate)
- Continuation of the catechism class to learn more about the faith after receiving 1st Holy Communion . Hybrid, Saturday, 10:30 am
Sped conf (Confirmation)
- Sped students who have completed the intermediate class are then prepared for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Hybrid, Saturday 11:30 am
