Luke 5:12-16

We can only imagine what it means to be “full of leprosy.” Was the disease so advanced? Was the leper’s appearance so repulsive? Jesus does not hesitate to go to the man and give his healing touch. He breaks through all physical and social prohibitions to help this man.

May we be mindful this day of all who have been pushed to the fringes of society and have the courage to take them by the hand and draw them into our embrace.
