Luke 4:14-22

Jesus returns home and to the synagogue to worship. He reads from the Prophet Isaiah about the promise made to Israel. He breaks open the scripture passage by revealing that he is the one promised, the Messiah who will usher in a new age. Those present are amazed at his words, but that will soon turn.

How often doubt and fear encroach on the truth and hope for all that has been promised. Keep me focused on you.
