Luke 2:22-35

Mary and Joseph travel with Jesus to Jerusalem to present him in the Temple, fulfilling the prescriptions of Jewish law. Simeon, a faithful, humble Jewish man, has been in the Temple waiting for the Messiah. He takes the child and, filled with the Holy Spirit, amazes his parents by telling them that Jesus is the “light to the nations.”

The world is in darkness, but your light shines through when people choose love and kindness over hatred and violence.
