Luke 1:26-38

Like the announcement of John the Baptist’s birth, the announcement of Jesus’ birth is unexpected. The angelic messengers create surprise and confusion, and the Holy Spirit brings about miraculous conceptions. Each child has a vital role to play in our salvation—one, the prophet preparing the way; the other, the Son of God.

Blessed are you, Lord God. You have done great things for me, and I am so thankful.
