Collaborative Ministry is a way of relating and working together in the life of the Church.
It demands conscious commitment to values and convictions. This includes the recognition that Christian initiation gives us a shared but differentiated responsibility for the life and mission of the Church. It begins from a fundamental desire to work together as a company of disciples. Collaborative Ministry is a ministry committed to mission, showing the possibility of transformation and of community within diversity.
A Collaborative Ministry core group was formed in 2003.
The core group is a resource group or an ad hoc committee. The core team simply acts as a catalyst. Members include: Amor Baldomero, Loy Banez, Eleanor Breite, Nerissa Broas, Butch Javier and the pastor, Fr. Rene Ramoso.
The ministry is the parish - each parishioner willing to work together. It can be groups of ministries, choirs, organizations or parishioners speaking on behalf of the pastor in various ways: speakers for the Archdiocesan Annual Appeal on second Sundays of the month; it can be the Religious Education catechists, students and parents working together on “Simbanggabi” (Advent Novena) Liturgy and testimonials; and, neighborhoods sponsoring fellowship receptions for nine consecutive nights before Christmas Eve. It can also be the Adult Faith Formation team collaborating with the clergy and the Small Christian Communities Parish Core Team in the spirit of evangelization.
